Keep the Light Alive

who we are

JANIS M. DALESSANDRO
In 2004 Ms. Dalessandro made a commitment to helping those with ALS and other neurodegenerative and autoimmune diseases.  Since then, she has raised thousands of dollars either through direct donations or through fundraising efforts.  In 2006, teaming up with Mike Gormley and Kevin McCormick, she started working on “Keep the Light Alive” as one of the Executive Producers.

Janis began her career as a marketer in 1990, as a director of specialty programs for one of the largest privately held hair care companies.  Having been raised by an entreprenuer, instinctively, she sought to fulfill her personal dream of starting her own business.  Leaving the corporate world behind in 2003, she left with extensive experience in marketing, marketing communications, promotion, media buying, event planning and web site development. Her vast experience, combined with her passion for healthy eating, strong will to succeed, and a pinch of willingness to fail, she launched her ventures, d'Oni Enterprises and janis m. consulting.

By successfully harnessing her commitment to healthy living and a passion for creative food, d’Oni’s unique, healthy and eclectic sauces became available across the U.S. She became an industry leader in the specialty food trade and d'Oni became known as the little company who could. d’Oni Enterprises was successfully sold in July 2009.

janis m. consulting began in 2004 with a commitment to cultivating and supporting the entrepreneurial spirit in others.  Her focus has been to support artists and start-up companies with “big company” marketing and marketing communications, concepts and disciplines.
